RESEARCH

The Organic Farm School is devoted to a very thoughtful and dynamic approach to teaching the principles of organic farming. We emphasize critical thinking and involve students, the farm crew and the community in research trials and demonstrations to foster understanding and innovation in sustainable, regenerative agriculture. We focus on incorporating organic matter into the soil while minimizing disruption— through rotational tillage as a way of balancing production needs with ecological principles. Our research goals are purposefully designed to reduce the environmental impact of agricultural production while improving soil health and biodiversity.

This, because we recognize the need for continuous improvement and adaptation in our regenerative methods. Agriculture is an ever-evolving field, and our commitment to staying open to new practices and ideas will undoubtedly contribute to the ongoing success of OFS and its broader impact on sustainable food systems.
