Mindy is an OFS grad from 2022 who has progressively taken on more responsibility with the program over the last several years. She has played outside her whole life digging up worms and climbing trees, and such experiences, when coupled with the OFS Core Training Program, have positioned her well to transform her farming experiences into farm teaching skills. She can’t think of a better job to have than gettting to grow food for her community and farmers for the country. Mindy worked on a ranch in Eastern Washington for about 10 years prior to joining the OFS team. There she worked with kids, horses, goats, chickens and pigs. She’s also spent many years learning about off grid systems, land conservation/forestry and working in smaller garden plots. She is great at creative problem solving, seeing what needs to be done and finding the fun in everything.

When she’s not on the farm, Mindy loves to hang out with her partner Sean and her dog Neva. You can also find her looking for cool shells and rocks at the beach, wandering local nurseries looking for new houseplants or hanging out with friends.
