What will your learn?

In this workshop, Kevin will cover a wide range of tools useful to the home gardener or small-scale farmer and how to keep these tools in working order. He will cover tool sharpening, maintenance, and proper storage. Come find out our favorite tools that we use at OFS and how we use them to keep our vegetables happy. This workshop is for anyone who is interested in gardening no matter their level of experience. At OFS, we use a wide range of tools from the classics to more new school tools such as soil blockers and broadforks which will be covered in detail. 

Who is your instructor?

Kevin is the Field Assistant at OFS; His role includes facilitating the students in day-to-day farm tasks and assisting the OFS team. He became interested in farming through his experience in vineyards and wineries around the world from large conventional operations to small biodynamic farms, where he discovered the importance of soil health and its relation to us as humans. Kevin has a wide range of experiences from grapes to annual vegetables and incorporating livestock into these systems.
