What will your learn?
Have you ever wondered how to extend your gardening window or how to properly put your garden to sleep for the winter? In this workshop you will learn the basics of fall and winter gardening and how to plan for extended harvest through the winter with minimal infrastructure. Kevin will explain how to crop plan for the fall and winter, the best cold hardy vegetables to plant, with tips and tricks to keep those vegetables extra happy. Garden maintenance and keeping your garden protected through the cold months will also be covered.
Who is your instructor?
Kevin is the Field Assistant at OFS, His role includes facilitating the students in day-to-day farm tasks and assisting the OFS team. He became interested in farming through his experience in vineyards and wineries around the world from large conventional operations to small biodynamic farms, where he discovered the importance of soil health and its relation to us as humans. Kevin has a wide range of experiences from grapes to annual vegetables and incorporating livestock into these systems.
