Do You Love Good Food?
When you join our farm’s CSA program, you’ll receive a weekly box of fresh-picked, organic produce grown on our organic farm! Our staff and students strive to deliver the freshest most delicious produce possible and we think you’ll love how it’ll make your meals extraordinary! Plus, joining a CSA is a great way to eat healthier, save money and feel more connected to the source of your food.
A unique benefit of joining the Organic Farm School’s CSA program is that you also directly support the training of the next generation of organic farmers. The Organic Farm School (OFS) is a non-profit organization that trains aspiring farmers to start and manage small-scale organic farms through academic and experiential studies, including work on the OFS farm. The CSA produce is grown by the students in the program with guidance and oversight from our experienced farm managers and instructors.
We would love for you to join the OFS community in growing the farmers of the future - while enjoying delicious, seasonal organic produce in the process!

Your CSA share will be ready for pick-up every Wednesday starting in May. Each CSA share consists of 7-9 different types of fresh, seasonal produce harvested the day of delivery. This generally is enough to feed 1-3 people. Shares cost $160 per season or $480 for the full year. This averages out to $20 per week and you receive $23-$26 worth of produce. That's a minimum of 15% bonus per share.
As examples of what to expect, a spring-time box might include radishes, kale, salad mix, and snap peas; a summer box could include tomatoes, basil, garlic, summer squash, and butterhead lettuce; and for fall you could expect leeks, spinach, winter squash, potatoes, and onions.
All of our produce is certified organic by WSDA and we work hard to make sure that when you pick it up, it's as fresh and vibrant as it was in the field!

Our birds are humanely and ethically raised according to organic practices as students learn how to integrate them into our sustainable farming system. We do reserve the ability to treat them, appropriately, if they become injured or ill, which is why they won't be certified organic.
FRESH CHICKENS. If you're interested in reserving a few plump broilers for your freezer, you can pre-order your fresh chicken now with a $10 deposit. The balance due will be collected when you pick up your chicken on harvest day. We anticipate most chickens will dress out at 3.5-4.5 pounds per bird and will be priced at $5.50/lb. So your balance due at pick up should be around $10-$15 per bird.
We have 3 chicken harvest days per season, tentatively scheduled for mid-June, mid-August, and mid-October.
FROZEN CHICKENS. We also offer frozen chickens from our previous harvests. They average 3-5 pounds and cost $5.50/lb. And you can choose your pick up location. Deposits are $10 each and the balance of your order will be paid at pickup. You may pick up your chicken at any one of our CSA drop off points. Your bird will be available the Wednesday directly following your order. Please note that you must pick up your bird between 4:30-6:00pm on the Wednesday immediately following your order.

We purchase our lambs from local sheep dairy Glendale Shepherd in early April. As they grow up on our farm they enjoy fresh pasture all over the farm under our intensive rotational grazing system. They also enjoy the treats of much of our fresh organic produce leftovers on CSA & Market harvest days.
The lambs will be harvested sometime in early October. They are priced at $9 per pound, and will be priced according to their hanging weight, which we expect will be somewhere between 30-45lbs for each lamb. In addition to this, there will be a $55 per animal cut and wrap fee from the butcher (if getting a half lamb, the cut-and-wrap fee will be $27.50).
We are selling our lambs by the half. If you would like to purchase a whole lamb, simply order 2 halves. Those who purchase a whole lamb will be contacted by the butcher shortly before pickup and given the opportunity to chose from a number of assorted cuts. Half lambs will be provided in the following standard cuts.
In order to make this process as humane for the lambs as possible, they will be slaughtered here at the farm by a professional mobile slaughter unit, and then transported to the butcher we've chosen to work with, Silvana Meats in Stanwood, WA.
When all the lambs are ready, we here at OFS will pick up everyone's lambs from Silvana Meats (which at that point will be frozen), and bring them back here to the farm to be picked up that same day by customers.
You can pre-order your lamb below for a $75 deposit per half lamb.
We will also have raw sheepskins available. If you purchase, please note that the skin cleaned and frozen but it will not be cured or tanned.
If you have any questions, please contact Aaron at firstname.lastname@example.org.
